LYNX BRUTALITY 2022: The Final Day

The text describes a competitive shooting event called Lynx Brutality 2022, highlighting the challenges faced by participants in various stages. It also includes details of the equipment used and showcases products from different exhibitors at the event.

The second day begins, the efforts from the day before are not forgotten. For us, it starts again in the morning, the division remains the same, so you immediately have to load magazines again.

On command, the squads divide up and each goes to their starting points, which are in the same location as the day before.

Stage 5

Unfortunately, this time there are no cool names, so forgive us the numbering. In this stage, the shooter starts sitting on the loading area of a car and on the beep, had to hit six small steel targets. Then, get off, lay the weapon on the table, and fetch two ammo crates from a specific location.

Then put them down on the loading area and return to the table to shoot at more steel targets. Once all were hit again, fetch the ammo crates again, lay them down, and run to the last cover, a standing tire. It was visibly difficult to find the right position to hit the steel targets again. However, if you mastered this, it was off to the pistol part. Kneeling or lying down, the participant here had to shoot at about seven steel targets again. The whole thing had to be completed again in 3 minutes. The positions here were definitely very demanding and unusual.

Stage 6

As we come to the stage, we could watch Ziga in his run. Skillfully, he races through and leaves a lasting impression on the participants. At a distance of 150 meters, a steel target hung and this had to be hit from different stopping points. First from a hanging rope, then through a tire, followed by a standing rod, through the car from the passenger seat, and finally over the hood. If this was successfully completed, you could start over from the beginning.

After the second round, it was time to drop the weapon and run to the pistol stand with speed. The familiar spinners were already waiting here for the participant. Tactics in shooting definitely paid off here.

Stage 7

Ian McCollum at work. This stage was the most difficult for many. It started with the rifle, two shots at small steel targets at a distance of about 50 meters.

Now you have to throw three 15-kilogram sandbags over the door frame. Once they are all over, crawl under and continue to the pistol stand. It works even in a suit, Ian proves it...

Here, the shooter had to go through and on the other side, there were two steel targets waiting to be hit with two shots each. Once this was done, throw the sandbags back, crawl through, and shoot with the rifle again. This is repeated three times, making the sandbags quite heavy in the arms at the end.

Stage 8

This was the last stage of the day for us and it was another surprise. Only the pistol was needed, and clay pigeons were the target. It started with shooting two-handed at a set clay pigeon.

Then the ballistic shield had to be picked up with the weak hand to shoot with the strong hand. You also have to aim through the window and use the barricade as additional cover. First two clay pigeons, then another three at the next barricade. Once this is mastered, it's time to switch hands. The shield and pistol need to be exchanged, and again at different barricades first two clay pigeons, then three. The finale was back at the starting field shooting two-handed.

After the exhausting day, it was time for a beer. At the fair, you could get refreshments, browse the stands, and have good conversations.

A golden Desert Eagle next to a Laugo Alien Pistol. That catches the eye right away.

From BUL Armory, there were also some gems on display.

Schmeisser was also present. A 60 round magazine is quite a beast.

Helikon-Tex was seen in action very often. So, of course, there was plenty to explore at their booth too.

Perunika is also a good tip for equipment. Here, there were various outdoor items, as well as equipment from Direct Action.

Blackbear Solution not only has cool shirts but also lots of Gucci gear. As enthusiasts, they try to bring more of that to Europe. Currently, Ferro Concepts is expected to appear more in the shop.

For today, only the evening raffle is left. Good luck to all the participants!

That's it for us from Lynx Brutality 2022. A great event with a fantastic location. We can take a lot of experience from it and we also met some nice participants. The team spirit in the squad was very strong, and everyone really cheered each other on.

We used an OA15 SL10 with EOTech EXPS3-2 and G43 Magnifier, as seen in the picture. Luckily, there were no problems, whether at shorter distances or 150 meters. Zero was set at 50 meters. The Glock with Holosun optics also performed reliably and accurately. However, the dirt meant that some magazines had to be removed from the pistol with a little force.

Next year, of course, another Brutality Match is planned. Hopefully, we will be there again!
