Luxembourg will become Heckler & Koch country
Luxembourg is phasing out the Steyr AUG A1 for the HK416A7, along with other HK weapons, by 2024. The deal with HK is worth ten million euros. More details and information can be found on the HK website.
The Luxembourgers are giving up: at least the Steyr AUG A1 as the armament for their small armed forces. Instead, they opt for the new standard weapon just like the German KSK: the HK416A7, along with the HK269 40mm grenade launcher and HK417 A2 – likely as a DMR. The whole process is happening quickly: everything should be done by 2024, with HK bringing in ten million euros for the deal. All details about the HK416A7.
