Air defense! Roof on T-80

No sunscreen, even though Crimea is a holiday destination. From there comes the video of a T-80 with a "roof". General assumption, the tank is supposed to be protected against attacks from above. Perhaps against Javelins, although they have a tandem warhead, which the roof doesn't care much about.

Here is the full video. Ukraine - as a nearby opponent - has purchased a lot of Turkish drones. It could make sense to improvise protection against what might come from above towards a tank.

This of course reminds us of images from Syria, where almost all Russian tank models were pimped from almost all sides to have more protection and be able to survive longer, even by IS in a special tank workshop. HERE you can see an improvised thermal camouflage for a tank.
