A new grenade launcher, the LGA-40, is being developed by the company Jakusz and the Institute of Precision Mechanics in Poland. Weighing only 21 kilograms, with a caliber of 40x53mm and shooting at 450 rounds per minute, it could be an ideal replacement for the current model in the Polish Army. In Poland, the company Jakusz and the Institute of Precision Mechanics (IMP) are currently working on a new grenade launcher, the so-called LGA-40. In caliber 40x53mm, its weight is only 21 kilograms (compared to the American Mk.19 which weighs 35 kilograms) and shoots at around 450 rounds per minute. This would make it an ideal replacement for the current model in the Polish Army, which uses the Mk.19.
The grenade launcher can be mounted on vehicles as well as on a vehicle, like the one in the cover image, which can be remote controlled.
