Lexus Extreme: The MAWLR by B.E. Meyers & Co.

11/08/2018By Redaktion

The SEMA 2018 ended last week, marking the completion of B.E. Meyers & Co. first year of participation in one of the world's leading automotive trade shows. While SEMA may seem like an unusual place for a laser manufacturer to be, B.E. Meyers & Co., known for innovative defense and aviation solutions, had something unique to share with the automotive industry. The "MAWLR," a Lexus LX 570 transformed into the ultimate off-road vehicle by B.E. Meyers & Co. and Defconbrix, was showcased at SEMA in the Toyo Tires Treadpass. It's extremely rare to see an LX 570 configured for off-road use, and none have a story quite like the MAWLR's.

When Sean Jennings of Defconbrix picked up the B.E. Meyers & Co. Lexus LX 570 in Redmond, WA last February, it was a simple stock vehicle that had a long way to go before becoming the MAWLR. The Lexus belonged to the late founder of B.E. Meyers & Co., Brad Meyers. To honor Brad's adventurous spirit and legacy of ingenuity, Matt Meyers, CEO of B.E. Meyers & Co., decided to transform the LX 570 into a project with a unique vision. The MAWLR would perfectly complement the qualities that make the laser manufacturer's products successful, particularly the MAWL® (Modular Advanced Weapon Laser).

Purpose-Built Design

As a company primarily focused on laser systems for nighttime operations, the B.E. Meyers & Co. team needed a vehicle capable of traversing the rugged Pacific Northwest terrain in low light and darkness. The MAWLR was specifically designed for the long-distance transport of equipment for product demonstrations, testing, and photo shoots.

Weapon-Ready

The MAWLR is weapon-ready, equipped with a TruckVault providing space for rifle platforms, laser systems, and accessories. A large roof rack also provides space for additional gear.

Robust and Reliable

Custom bodywork, off-road tires, and all-wheel drive ensure the MAWLR can make it from point A to point B in the varied climates of the Pacific Northwest. The MAWLR can tackle Washington's snow-covered mountain passes, wet rainforests, and sandy deserts without breaking a sweat.

All Photons

Whether using the latest laser technology or posing with machine guns at a photoshoot, the B.E. Meyers & Co. team can work wonders in hours of complete darkness. Extensive additional lighting on the front and rear of the MAWLR provides the necessary lumens to navigate to and from distant targets at night.

B.E. Meyers & Co. and Defconbrix will release the official build list once the project is officially completed. In the meantime, follow the MAWLR from B.E. Meyers & Co. on Facebook and Instagram.
