READING MATERIAL: K-ISOM Special Modern Mountain Troops

But certainly not with the mountain troops: The new K-ISOM is dedicated to "fighting at the limit": The special edition presents units, equipment, weapons, and materials. Included are all German units that are well known in the field: Mountain Infantry Brigade 23, Mountain Infantry Battalions 231, 232, and 233, and specifically the Sniper Platoon GebJgBtl 233 and the Mountain Reconnaissance Battalion 230 and the High Mountain Reconnaissance Platoon (230). And the Mountain Engineer Battalion 8. If you want to go into the mountains, you have to learn: the Deployment and Training Center for Mountain Pack Animal Operations 230 is featured in the magazine, as well as the Mountain and Winter Warfare School, and the Army Mountain Guides. Unfortunately, a bit short: 6th Jäger Brigade - The Austrian mountain troops. Also included are: French, Italians, Spaniards, Swiss, and Belgians. And plenty of mountain and alpine specific equipment. The magazine is once again a decent picture book and a classic case of "the fine print should indeed be read" and is recommended for anyone interested in mountain troops.
