READING MATERIAL: Here comes TACTICS + MEDICINE.

TAKTIK + MEDIZIN is the first German-language professional journal that aims to promote cross-organizational, interdisciplinary, and ultimately international exchange of experiences on the topics of tactical operations and medical care strategies in crisis situations. The target audience includes police, military, emergency medical services, and fire departments. Through specialist articles, case studies, reports, comprehensive background knowledge, and practical tips for planning and managing tactical situations, readers are introduced to the field of "tactical medicine" and informed about the latest developments.

Among the editorial team are: Renate Bohnen, who has been the Medical Director of the Special Operations Medicine Department of the GSG 9 Special Unit of the Federal Police since 2004. Carsten Dombrowski has been a soldier for 30 years, training in Tactical Medicine and Wilderness Medicine. Thorsten Hauer is the Head Senior Physician of the Department of General, Visceral, and Thoracic Surgery at the Bundeswehr Hospital in Berlin. His research focuses on polytrauma care, wound ballistics, management of gunshot wounds, and blast trauma. HERE you can get an insight into the editorial team.

When will the new issue be available? The first edition will be presented on November 28, 2018, at the Tactical Situations in Emergency Medical Services Symposium in Düsseldorf. We will introduce the new magazine in more detail to you.
