We love the mountains, and apparently so does the US Army. To ensure that commanders do everything right there, they have now released the Commander's Handbook "Mountain Warfare and Cold Weather Operations". This 141-page guide covers everything that matters in the mountains, very worth reading, although unfortunately only available in English. HERE is the link for the PDF download: usacac.army.mil
