Light shoe for heavy marches - GoRuck MACV-1

06/23/2018By Redaktion

GoRuck are known for their challenging, energy-draining events. BUD/S as sport. Through woods and water, sun, mud, everything is tested and pushed to its limits. Both humans and equipment. Not surprisingly, sooner or later there is equipment specifically designed for these events. It all started with the backpacks, which offer high carrying comfort even with heavy loads.
Now they have the first shoe - the MACV-1. The basis was the popular Jungle Boot from the Vietnam War. You can watch the video about the shoe in the header image above. Three Special Forces veterans helped to optimize the shoe, resulting in an extremely lightweight, durable Jungle Boot. The pair weighs 800 grams.

The shoe was also designed for marching. Triple stitched at stress points, best materials, supportive sole, and not waterproof. Why not waterproof? The shoes should breathe and have an optimal climate. The materials regulate this more or less automatically. And water that finds its way in can also find its way out.

The shoe can be pre-ordered now and is set to be released in October 2018. Price is 195 US dollars excluding shipping. For more information and pre-ordering, visit HERE.
