Rheinmetall is launching the latest version of its ultra-compact laser module series "Vario-Ray LowProfile" on the US market.
This new laser box from the Vario-Ray LowProfile series (VR-LP) is a very compact laser aiming and illumination module. It was developed by Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics (RSE) in Stockach. The design incorporates the company's extensive experience in the field of laser light modules, resulting in an outstanding device. Due to its design, it is excellent for use with compact assault rifles. The system can withstand the most adverse conditions on the battlefield and offers the operator constant readiness. American Rheinmetall Systems supports manufacturing and distribution in the US market.
Outstanding features of Rheinmetall's new laser aiming module include its waterproof, lightweight, and stable aluminum housing. It protrudes only about 25 mm above the mounting rail, therefore not affecting the sightline of optical sights. The innovative product offers four lasers: a visible red dot laser, a near-infrared dot laser, and two near-infrared illuminators. The superior quality of the light beams and their uniformity enhance the user's situational awareness in all operational environments.
Due to the modern design of the device, the operator can easily adjust the intensity of all four lasers and switch the illuminators to narrow or wide field of view. The rugged design provides stability and reliability. The device is compatible with all common night vision devices. Not least due to its competitive price, the latest device from the Vario-Ray LowProfile series is a good solution for the laser aiming requirements of today's operators. In the US, the market is relatively dominated by Insight L3, whose current laser aiming device AN/PEQ15 is used by US special forces. The Vario-Ray LowProfile will also have to compete against new devices like the MWAL by B.E. Meyers.
