It is based on GATORZ's impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses and includes a special light-absorbing dye that is treated to block the most common and harmful laser wavelengths. Knowing that there are multiple types of lasers with different wavelengths, GATORZ has developed four different lenses that cover most requirements.

The four Laser Defender lenses include a daytime lens with 23% VLT (visible light transmission), a low light lens with 40% VLT, an infrared lens with 51% VLT, and a photochromic low light lens that can switch between 40% VLT and 12% VLT depending on light conditions.
