STEAMBOW is taking new paths and presenting a new approach: A repeating crossbow in ball caliber ".68". The STEAMBOW B08 is based on the same platform as all other AR-Series models and will therefore be instantly and intuitively operable for all "Stinger users".

The B08 uses magazine tubes with a capacity of 8 balls each. It is cocked via the buttstock, similar to a break-action shotgun. Balls in caliber .68 have an outer diameter of 17.3 mm and are therefore truly substantial. Due to their size and mass, they have a strong kinetic effect on target, and if they are also filled with irritants, the defensive effect increases. 

There are a variety of manufacturers in this space, one of the most well-known being Pepperball from the USA. These balls are available through well-stocked firearms dealers and are treated as irritant weapons, similar to defense sprays.
