The CCTSF (Compagnie de Commandement et de Transmissions des Forces Spéciales) has been the home of the French Special Forces' signalers since 2007. The company is divided into three sections. The first (approximately 30 men) is responsible for setting up local command posts. The other two sections (with approximately 50 men) are tasked with ensuring communication between this command post and both the deployed troop units (often, radio specialists also participate in missions themselves) and other necessary facilities such as satellites.
