The multifunctional knife combines several tools such as blades, saws, scissors, and screwdrivers in a compact format. It is a space-saving everyday helper that is just as essential for quick repairs at home as it is for outdoor adventures or other daily challenges. There’s no need to lug around a heavy toolbox. Who invented it? The Swiss!   Meanwhile, there are numerous manufacturers worldwide that specialize in producing multitools and similar products. With the Knight K40, NEXTOOL has launched an Urban EDC multifunctional folding knife. Here we show you what the knife has to offer.

The dimensions of the Knight K40 in its folded state are 91 × 26 × 17 mm, and its net weight is 90 g. The overall length is 182 mm.

The NEXTOOL Knight K40 is equipped with a 755 mm long blade made of stainless Sandvik 14C28N steel with a hardness of 58–61 HRC in the “Sheepsfoot” style. This blade offers exceptional edge retention, sharpness, and corrosion resistance.

The blade is deployed via ambidextrous thumb studs. A crossbar lock is used to securely lock the blade in place.

The back of the handle is equipped with an adjustable, magnetic bit module with angle locking at 180° and is compatible with standard 4 mm bits. The total length of the bit set including the bit is 38 mm.

The bit set is locked via a liner lock system, known for its ease of use.

The Knight K40 is delivered with a double-sided bit that includes Phillips PH1 and slotted SL3.5.

The knife features a deep carry pocket clip that allows for secure, space-saving, and discreet carrying while commuting. Since the deep carry clip is not reversible, it may deter left-handed users who prefer an attachment on the left pocket.

The handle material is G10, known for its high strength and good tactile feel.

CONCLUSION

The NEXTOOL Knight K40 is an extremely functional EDC pocket knife for urban everyday use. It combines high-quality knife steel with a practical design. Its outstanding features include a secure locking mechanism (axis lock), a deep carry clip, and a unique bit screwdriver that can be locked at 180°, allowing for versatile repairs. However, since the bit holder does not accommodate standard size bits, the knife is more suitable for quick repairs and light tasks rather than heavy industrial jobs. The smooth deployment enables excellent one-handed operation.

A handy, reliable, and low-maintenance EDC knife that is suitable for everyday tasks such as opening packages, cutting various materials, and small repairs.

The NEXTOOL Knight K40 is available here in the store or from retailers carrying the brand, starting at 40 Euros.
