The text is a review of an Intensive Course for the KL HOW Rifle organized by KL Strategic in cooperation with Alpha Security Consulting & Training. The course received positive feedback from participants, who found it challenging and rewarding. Exercises included shooting skills, dynamic target distances, and obstacles. The course was well-structured and supervised by experienced instructors. Highly recommended for those interested in advanced firearm training.
Already on December 5th of last year, St. Nicholas and Knecht Ruprecht came with the switch... or KhiPa and Markus with the rifles. This is all about the Intensive Course for the KL HOW Rifle organized by KL Strategic in cooperation with Alpha Security Consulting & Training. We were there and have a brief summary for you.
At MSZU Ulm we gathered once again to indulge in our hobby. This time, the course was fully booked: 10 participants and 2 instructors for 9 ½ hours of intense training in one room - it can only be good.
And it was, according to the participants, as the feedback at the end of the course was overwhelmingly positive. The only criticism was that the individual attention felt a bit short in this size of course. This was mainly due to the fact that the participants already came with a good knowledge base, requiring only minor corrections.

We won't go into the detailed training schedule here - if you've read our course reviews (especially the HOW - Rifle), you already have an idea of the outline of the intensive training and repeating it would be boring. So, let's focus briefly on the highlights.
Included in the course was the usual short and crisp theoretical part with the safety briefing and the shared lunch. After zeroing the weapons at 100 meters on the range, the basic skills such as shooting stance, posture, magazine changes, etc. were practiced dry before moving on to the actual training. The good part of the large number of participants this time was that there were short breaks between exercises, and observing the drills of others was possible, as the shooting was done in groups of five. The exercises were structured with increasing difficulty, similar to the HOW RIFLE course, but due to the participants' knowledge and skills, the pace was quickly ramped up.

In the basic course, participants only had to pay attention to a few things in one exercise and mostly shot at 10 meters. In the intensive course, the distance to the target and shooting stance were dynamically changed. And not only that, obstacles were set up in true IPSC style, and participants had to navigate them in the designated shooting positions after hearing a number called out.
Soon enough, the smell of gunpowder filled the room and casings were flying everywhere. The participants were physically and mentally challenged, busy reloading their magazines.

The whole affair was carefully monitored by KhiPa from KL-Strategic and Markus from Alpha Security Consulting and Training - both were always close to the action and ready to intervene if necessary.

There's not much more to report, let the pictures and the video speak for themselves - it was definitely worth it, and all participants left exhausted and satisfied, bidding farewell with a small chocolate St. Nicholas. Those who wished could join for a delicious pizza at a nearby restaurant after the course, to wrap up the day.
Conclusion: Highly recommended, the courses are and will remain interesting. We look forward to next year. Alongside the basic courses, the Advanced courses, Multigun, and Shotgun will also be offered. It's going to be exciting!
