The Panther from Rheinmetall will be a Hungarian first. The Hungarian state wants to equip its armed forces with the new battle tank Panther KF51 from Rheinmetall as the first country. According to sources familiar with the discussions, the government has reached a basic agreement with the defense contractor that the tank of type KF51 Panther will be developed and built in Hungary. This information was obtained by HANDELSBLATT.
It's not entirely surprising if you've been paying attention: "We produce Lynxes, we buy Leopards, and we will participate in the development of the Panther," Orbán said on his TikTok.
