Now also available in Germany: the CZ configurator

The CZ Configurator allows everyone to customize their dream firearm online. It has just been launched for Germany.

CZ as a manufacturer offers a special, interactive website where shooters can customize a firearm according to their own ideas and needs. The shooter can choose the color of the grip, the type of sighting, an optional red dot, size and color of all controls, magazine capacity, and much more.

After placing a binding order through the Configurator, the firearm you created will be built in Germany by CZ experts at CSC Arms Division. They are the exclusive distribution partner in Germany for orders placed through the Configurator. You can then personally pick up your dream firearm. During the personal handover of the pistol or rifle, all legal requirements for a normal firearm purchase will be observed and followed.

Where can I customize my firearm?

Visit czconfigurator.com, select your language and country, and start the configuration. If the ordering option through the Configurator is not yet available in your country, you can still try the international, English-language version of the website.

Which firearms can I customize? What can I improve on?

In Germany, it is currently possible to customize the sport pistol CZ Shadow 2 and pistols from the CZ P-10 series – from Full-Size to Semi-Compact, Compact, and Subcompact. More models will follow in the near future.

Although the customization options may vary and depend on the model, they are generally very similar in the countries where the service is offered. Minor differences in options are due to specific laws or firearms regulations in individual countries that must be complied with.

How much does a custom-configured pistol cost?

The base price corresponds to the retail price of a standard model. The total cost of a customized firearm depends on the components and accessories you choose. The online tool also advises the buyer on why certain parts or accessories should be chosen and immediately displays the price, which is added to the base price of the firearm with each selection made. Therefore, you are always informed during the configuration process about how the total price is developing.

What about the warranty for a custom-configured firearm?

The individually created pistol – including all components and accessories – is covered by the same warranty as a CZ firearm purchased conventionally, which is two years. This is a significant advantage for the customer. In comparison, if you purchase a firearm separately, then add components/accessories yourself and damage your firearm through improper handling, you may no longer be able to make a warranty claim. To ensure that the warranty remains valid, we always recommend professionally installing all additional parts by a gunsmith. Or using the Configurator to customize your firearm. Even after clicking "Order," you can always purchase an extended warranty or a five-year prepaid service for your new firearm.

How is the payment made?

The payment is made in two steps. First, a deposit is made to make the order binding. Then work on your firearm begins. The amount of the deposit is shown in the order confirmation. It is possible to pay online by card or by bank transfer. The second step is to pay the remaining amount, which is done only when you personally pick up the fully configured firearm.

Where can I pick up my customized pistol?

After completing your order, the pickup location with the exact address will be shown to you. CSC Arms Division GmbH is the exclusive distribution partner for all orders placed through the CZ Configurator in Germany – there are pickup points in Heusenstamm (directly at CSC Arms Division) and in Steinbach near Frankfurt (PickUpStore). What if I don't want to order the customized firearm immediately?

You can save your configuration and have the data sent to you via email. You can then return to the CZ Configurator at any time, continue with the configuration, make changes, or place an order for your new firearm to be produced. You can even share images of your desired firearm with friends via a link or through social networks. Photos of the freshly configured firearm can be saved on your computer in PNG format.

How does a gift account work?

The CZ Configurator allows family and friends to give you a gift. Everyone can contribute to that weapon you want to build as a gift. All you have to do is set up a gift account with a click and then inform your circle by sharing the link. You don't have to pay anything to set up such an account. Once you have accumulated at least one-third of the amount for the desired dream weapon in the gift account, you can order and have it produced.
