JAGDKOMMANDO: This is the new combat uniform.

It is important to us that they are always well-dressed, the best of the best, the Jagdkommando of the Austrian Armed Forces (ÖBH). In Wiener Neustadt, they are quite unique in this respect, wearing uniforms that the rest of the Bundesheer does not use. Because - well - special forces. And because they are internationally active and therefore - like all Western Special Forces - they prefer their own camouflage pattern or Multicam. The latest update was that the Jagdkommando is equipped with CLAW GEAR - as shown in the image above. In a previous article we reviewed the CLAW GEAR Jagdkommando uniform.

Well, things have changed. For those who visited the Bundesheer event in the first district on National Day, they could see that everyone was in new uniforms: CARINTHIA is in. The Carinthian quality manufacturer recently presented its combat suit at Enforce Tac/IWA 2022. At that time, there was a flurry of new contenders in this equipment segment, where DNS ALPHA and LINDNERHOF TAKTIK (with a variation of UF PRO) were also competing, targeting special forces. CARINTHIA has now arrived and has equipped the Jagdkommando with the new gear. In a previous article we reported on the CARINTHIA combat suit at IWA 2022 with more photos.

The CARINTHIA uniform includes a combat shirt.

It can be paired with a Breacher Hoodie.

In addition, there is a Field Shirt for non-combat situations.

And the trousers come in two versions, one Combat and the other Field Pant. CRYE PRECISION set the standard. The new combat suit from CARINTHIA is very different from CLAW, focusing on proven elements that are optimized for movement. It also features many pockets and a good fit. The uniform will be available in different colors in the coming months, it is said.

The British colleagues at JOINT FORCES have shown good observation skills. They spotted three Austrian Jagdkommando officers at SOFEX 2022, the Special Operations Forces Expo in Jordan, not only wearing the new uniforms but specifically in the rare Multicam Arid pattern - suitable for the operational area. CARINTHIA produced a small quantity of Multicam Arid uniforms for the Jagdkommando. The officers now have something special to wear, and Austria is now a Multicam Arid nation.
