IWA 2024: Upward trend for manufacturers and specialist retailers

For the 50th anniversary, the international business thrives at the IWA OutdoorClassics. The world's leading trade fair for the hunting and shooting sports industry was once again the number one meeting point for international business contacts this year. Around 40,000 visitors from 120 countries filled the halls. 1,072 exhibitors enjoyed expert discussions and orders. The IWA OutdoorClassics confirms its international relevance across the board - and continues to be the engine of the industry. Over the past half century, around 1,000,000 visitors from all over the world have attended the IWA OutdoorClassics.

Number 1 for international business and innovations

What a signal in the business year 2024: The hunting and shooting sports industry experienced a busy IWA OutdoorClassics in Nuremberg. Various innovations were presented in a total of 9 halls, which will now make their way to the international specialized trade. "We were able to meet the high expectations for our anniversary edition!" summarizes Stefanie Leege, event manager of the IWA OutdoorClassics. "The IWA OutdoorClassics is still the number 1 for industry and trade on a global level, as confirmed by the consistently significant visitor numbers. We are pleased to see a visitor growth of over 15% compared to last year," Leege continues. Over 60% of the trade visitors came from abroad. The German specialized trade was also well represented. 90% of the total visitors are decision-makers and influence procurement in their companies.

1,000,000 trade visitors in 50 years of IWA history

For the golden anniversary, the trade fair offered visitors and exhibitors a wide-ranging program and created an extraordinary atmosphere. The premiere of the future format "IWA Vision" also met with great approval. "We are thrilled at how much the industry has celebrated and appreciated our anniversary. The consistently positive mood was palpable throughout the entire exhibition grounds on all four days of the trade fair," comments Leege. With the anniversary edition, the IWA OutdoorClassics achieves a milestone. Over the course of 50 years, around 1,000,000 trade visitors have attended the world's leading trade fair in Nuremberg.
