The French Army has upgraded to the new GLOCK service pistol, showcased at IWA 2022. This full set includes customization options like backstraps, orange followers in magazines, safety features, and more.
Eiffel Tower, croissant, and Bang! That's what the French have. Bang? That's the new service pistol of the French Army, a magnificent GLOCK. They know what's good and have treated themselves to a full set. At IWA 2022, this beauty was on display at the GLOCK booth.

The full set can be seen here, based on a GLOCK 17 Gen 5 with backstraps to customize the grip frame. It also comes with three magazines with orange followers. The safety flag and training barrel are also orange to ensure safety during practice. Two slides are included, one with a standard barrel and the other with a MOS for the Red Dot - in this case, an Aimpoint Acro - and a threaded barrel for the B&T suppressor. The weapon light is also from GLOCK.
As for the little black capsule, we honestly have no idea: maybe it's a capsule for secret messages to the top army commander of the great nation, which must be personally delivered or the sugar for the latte to go with the croissant. Or both at the same time? (If you know, please tell us so we can correct our assumption...)
