IWA 2019: Forward, we must go back

Traditions can be beautiful. Sometimes they can also be impractical. Both aspects are clearly shown in the image above. The new Pickel helmet from Schuberth, whose current helmet theme for the Nuremberg trade shows we have already introduced HERE.

And it must be said: this is just for fun. And it's good fun. The best people are those who can approach their topic with pleasure and irony. Pickelhaube and night vision device, that's another approach.

What we see here is seriousness and fun: The rails and mounts on the helmet are a prototype with which helmets can be upgraded.

The Pickel adds a touch of humor to the whole thing, it has made many people laugh and was of course a particularly popular photo opportunity. This is also how guerrilla marketing works.

In any case, the Pickel gives the helmet an incredibly masculine presence. Historically, the Pickel once served a purpose: it was used to defend against vertical saber strikes to the head. Today, that's hardly a concern anymore.
