Madritsch, an Austrian weapon company, has developed a 40mm grenade launcher for the Bundesheer and a new modular assault rifle, the "Modular Army Weapon System" (MAWS), available in two calibers. The MAWS offers versatility with various barrel lengths and stock options, featuring a slim design and a long-stroke gas piston system. Explore more at www.madritsch.eu.
The trained Austrian knows Madritsch: the weapon company from Villach has managed to place their 40mm grenade launcher with the Bundesheer, where "the" Madritsch is mounted on the StG77 and can also be used "stand alone."
The Carinthian engineer has also developed a new assault rifle, the "Modular Army Weapon System" (MAWS): the Madritsch rifle is available in two calibers, the classic 5.56 and also in .300 for Blackout and Whisper.
The completely modular weapon, which the Poles from Milmag have taken apart, offers barrels from 11 to 20 inches, as well as - see image below - different stock options. Externally, the rifle appears extremely slim and relies on the KeyMod system for attachment options, internally it operates with a long stroke gas piston system. Perhaps we will be able to introduce the MAWS to you in more detail...
