Discover the innovative Claw Gear AUG extension parts designed to enhance the combat capabilities of the Steyr AUG. With a modular scope mount, M-Lok handguard, and blast forward compensator, users can customize their weapon for improved functionality. Available soon at ARMAMAT.
At the booth of CLAW GEAR, we made one of the most interesting discoveries at IWA: a complete set for enhancing the combat capabilities of the Steyr AUG. So, if the sight of the weapon seems unusual to you, that's intentional. In essence, there are three parts that modify the classic StG77 in the A1 version.
A housing for the optic, the Claw Gear AUG Modular Scope Mount. With the newer Jagdkommando variants, you often see it: optics and red dot combined in use. With the A1 receiver, this was never possible because the old optic did not allow for any attachments to the round body. Now it is possible, the optic is encased in a housing - the parts basically also fit on any A2, as long as the 1.5x magnification scope is mounted - and there are normal rails attached to it. This allows the user to suddenly attach anything they want: red dot, laser, light (of course, only if legally allowed) …
At the front end of the weapon, CLAW GEAR has also moved the hands of time forward. It is extended with a housing that can be adapted with rails using the Magpul M-LOK system, the Claw Gear AUG M-Lok Handguard. The user can now grip the front end securely like Chris Costa - without burning themselves on the barrel. And they can use the foregrips they like that can be attached to a standard rail. The gas pressure device on the other side is also freely accessible and can be adjusted at any time. At the "business end" is the Claw Gear Blast Forward Compensator: everything is blasted outwards. Good thing …
CONCLUSION: First impression, without having been on the range with it: the conservatives at Steyr have really been humiliated. At least two of the three new parts are an innovative and functional extension of an otherwise excellent rifle. Truly great work by the development team at Clawgear. Hopefully, we will soon be able to test the weapon extensions in the field.
The CLAW GEAR AUG extension parts will soon be available at ARMAMAT.
