REVIEW:

INFORCE ARC Light

The INFORCE ARC series introduces modular weapon lights available in four variants with improved brightness and adaptability. Featuring interchangeable parts with SUREFIRE components, the lights deliver excellent luminosity, suitable for distances up to 200m. Their lightweight design and ergonomic pressure switch enhance usability for various applications.

The previous weapon lights from INFORCE had a rather unusual shape, but they are very good weapon lights, though they had limited adjustability. With the new ARC series from INFORCE, you can now adapt quite a bit. We will show you the new lights in detail.

Variants

The new ARC weapon lights are available in a total of four variants. Once long or short and then each with weapon mount or handheld.

The light heads are the same for all four; only the housing length and resulting brightness are different. The long variants deliver up to 1,400 lumens and 90,000 candela.

On the left, the beam of the small ARC, on the right, the large ARC lamp

The compact version delivers “only” 1,200 lumens and 75,000 candela due to the smaller battery, so it is anything but dark.

For the long 650 version, a 18650 battery or two CR123A batteries are used. The short 350 version uses a 18350 battery. Unfortunately, there is no backup option with a CR123A battery here.

Modularity

At the beginning, I mentioned modularity; what does that mean? On the one hand, you can swap the lamp heads and pressure switches between the long and short version. It's nice, but not a game changer. The real advantage lies in INFORCE's decision to adopt the end cap threads from SUREFIRE. This gives you full access to all end caps on the market.

INFORCE ARC with SUREFIRE DS00

Whether it's a SUREFIRE DS00 end cap, a UNITY GasCan, or a momentary-only switch from ARISAKA, everything fits and works flawlessly. In my opinion, this is a really big plus.

The switch also fits on SUREFIRE

However, the included pressure switch is really well designed. It is a classic “clicky” switch. This means that if you press lightly, you have momentary light, and if you press further, it clicks, activating the constant light. The spring resistances chosen for this switch are extremely well selected, making accidental activation of the constant light difficult. At least compared to other switches on the market.

The mounting is done using the widely used SUREFIRE Scoutlight drilling pattern. So you have a huge market of mounts available to you. There are also compatible mounting plates directly from INFORCE.

The screw points themselves are designed very slim on both sides. Thus, the lamp can be mounted very close to the rail or laser boxes.

Luminosity

The beam of the new ARC lights is very well done. When illuminated at 10 m, you see an extremely bright point in the center and a large “spill” around it. The center delivers the 90,000 candela and widens over great distances. At 100 m, little of the “spill” is still visible, but the central beam lights up the target optimally. Distances of up to 200 m are easily attainable and even beyond.

Now, let's take a look at the light beams compared to the SUREFIRE M600U, Holosun RAID, and STREAMLIGHT HLX.

The center is a very sharp, defined circle, which the STREAMLIGHT HLX only comes close to. Overall, I find the light beam of the INFORCE ARC very successful and usable.

Contents and Dimensions

In addition to the respective lamp, a suitable battery along with a small charger is included.

So everything you need. With the long 650 version, a transparent reduction tube is also included, in case you want to use CR123A batteries. These are slightly thinner than the 18650 battery and would otherwise not sit stably. Other compatible batteries or chargers can also be used.

The ARC lights are also relatively lightweight. The short 350 version weighs 133 g with the battery, while the long 650 version weighs 166 g. Both weapon light versions are only 6 g heavier.

Conclusion

With the new ARC series, INFORCE has made a significant breakthrough. A lightweight lamp with truly excellent light beam, suitable for both short and long distances up to 200 m. The end cap switch is very well designed and can be replaced with any SUREFIRE compatible end caps if needed. Additionally, the fact that the long version can be powered by either a rechargeable battery or CR123A batteries is very well executed. It follows the SUREFIRE Scoutlight mounting hole pattern, so there are countless mounts available for this light. If you do not have a weapon light yet or want a new one, the ARC from INFORCE is a great choice.

Available are the INFORCE ARC lights directly from INFORCE starting at $199.97 and from all retailers that carry INFORCE products.
