The Canadian Armed Forces have awarded Rheinmetall with the delivery of additional Argus soldier systems. In 2019, 1256 sets will be delivered as part of the Canadian "Integrated Soldier System Project (ISSP)." The contract value amounts to 14.3 million EUR (22 million CAD).
In 2015, the Canadian government first commissioned Rheinmetall with the start of the qualification phase of the Canadian Army's "Integrated Soldier System (ISS)." Rheinmetall has successfully completed the qualification phase and almost finished the initial serial production. The complete initial equipment of 1,632 sets will be delivered shortly.
Rheinmetall is a leading provider of soldier systems. Examples of systems already in use include Argus and the Future Soldier - Expanded System (IdZ-ES) of the German Bundeswehr. In addition, the developments Argus New Generation and Gladius 2.0 are also part of the portfolio.
All systems integrate individual infantry fighters, combat vehicles, and unmanned systems into a tactical sensor-to-shooter network. Higher command levels can also be integrated. The common operational picture is the basis for faster and better-informed decisions at all levels, significantly contributing to gaining and maintaining the initiative.
