Brand new from Ferkinghoff International: the 2-Stage Trigger from the 533 series for the Remington 700.
Right after unpacking, it is clear that the 2-Stage Trigger Module 533-16 has a tactile quality and appearance that you would expect from Timney Triggers. The red anodized trigger already comes equipped with a safety feature, which makes installation immensely easier. The housing itself is an anodized aluminum housing with two adjustment screws on the front (for first and second stage) and one on the back for trigger adjustment. The rear screw is used to adjust the sear engagement and, according to Timney, should not be adjusted. A drop of red thread locker also visually clarifies this.
All internal components of the trigger mechanism are made of hardened steel, CNC-milled. The sears are coated with teflon-nickel for optimal sliding and smooth operation. The trigger shoe and safety - parts that are exposed to the shooter's hand and the elements - are nickel plated to increase weather resistance. Alternatively, the 533 series triggers are also available with black nitrided and/or straight trigger shoe.
The proper installation is effortless.
Remington triggers are easy to replace, as only two pins need to be driven out and then reinserted along with the new trigger. (Caution is only needed when disassembling the bolt stop, as it can come loose easily.)

The trigger was test-installed in a Remington 700 Police in .308 Winchester caliber. The first stage is smooth, factory set at 450g and about 7mm long. The trigger falls very smoothly to the "wall" of the second stage and breaks cleanly after overcoming the factory set 700g in the second stage.
The trigger shoe is narrower than the original Police trigger and also not serrated. The only negative point is that the safety feature runs somewhat stiff and scratchy, and must be disengaged quietly with care. However, this may be due to the fact that the safety mechanism still needs some breaking in, as after several engagements, the action became smoother.
Overall, it can be said that the 2-Stage Trigger 533 from Timney Triggers elevates the Remington 700 trigger system to an even higher level. The Timney breaks like glass and instills a great deal of confidence in the rifle's performance.
