Those Who Walk Through the Storm

In other countries, there is well-maintained literature that tells the story of what special forces do in their day-to-day work. For us, this is a new genre, and ex-KSK member Christopher Wagner leads the way: “The Assaulter” is a military thriller about KSK operator Alex, who is to rescue a kidnapped German aid worker in Kabul. In the midst of the operation, he realizes that the hostage was never the actual target but rather himself. The plot is fictional, but the military craft behind it is based on real service experience.

The background is real: co-author Christopher Wagner served for over 16 years in the Kommando Spezialkräfte and completed more than 1,000 operational days. The processes, stresses, and decisions in the book are based on this experience. At the age of 27, Wagner became the youngest troop leader in the history of the unit. Today he works as a security expert and writes about what he experienced during this time. HERE you can order “The Assaulter” (german language). We wish you an exciting read.
