The DRONEVATION fair in Vienna showcased a diverse range of drone technologies, featuring over 50 specialized speakers and numerous exhibitors. Notable highlights included advanced military drones, defense systems, and innovative developments from companies like LOCKHEED MARTIN, RHEINMETALL, and SCHIEBEL. The event solidified its status as a leading gathering in the drone industry.
Today in Vienna was the second DRONEVATION, the drone fair. As drones go, it was great with many companies from the field, characterized by suit and uniform wearers and counter-demonstrators. Sold out for exhibitors and well attended. We show you a few things from the fair, which especially lives from two large halls where extremely exciting presentations were held by over 50 highly specialized speakers.

What astonished us was the F-35 next to the entrance. But LOCKHEED MARTIN does not want to sell to the Austrian army. However, the F35 will get a wingman, a stealth drone that will accompany the aircraft in action.

Opposite the real drone manufacturers. We did not see any housewives, but the thing in the corner is a bombing drone. And SKY DEFENDERS OF UKRAINE also had the rest of the useful stuff.

RHEINMETALL has something against drones: this is the Skyranger. The flak tower will be introduced in Austria on the wheeled armored vehicle Pandur; in Germany, it will go on the Boxer. There are also models that use old Leopard chassis.

This thing looks really fierce: the Shield AI MQ-35A V-BAT is a vertical take-off and landing unmanned reconnaissance aircraft developed by Martin UAV, now Shield AI.

ODM has a piece of the future here; it is small compared to the others we have seen. But an interceptor drone is a cost-effective means of bringing others down from the sky.

But on a larger scale: RAFAEL has something to offer.

Home game for SCHIEBEL: The camcopter from the Austrian company with world-class reputation is already deployed in many countries. Here, even armed.

DIEHL is also engaged in drone defense and has proven systems: IRIS-T helps successfully protect Ukraine.

QUANTUM SYSTEMS comes from Germany and is currently gaining momentum. The grafittis were already there in the Vienna workshops.

ELBIT SYSTEMS comes with a wealth of experience from conflicts in the Middle East and was able to present its "small" and large drone solutions.

HENSOLDT not only specializes in drone defense and electronic warfare: it also trains drone pilots with simulators. No, not in landscape flying, but for combat missions.

The Vienna workshops were once the place where Saurer tanks were manufactured and are a cool event venue. By the way, also with drone detection and jamming, as it should be.
CONCLUSION: Impressive event with exciting exhibitors and great speakers. Top of Central Europe in the field of drones.
