IEA Mil Optics: Which plug is the right one?

One of the best hearing protection systems currently available is the AMP Headset, which comes in various versions. We have already introduced it to you in detail HERE.

The AMP is available in the following variants:

• AMP Connectorized, with detachable cable - with and without NFMI. NFMI- Earplugs are available separately. The earplugs are inserted into the ear and provide additional noise reduction of up to 13dB without impairing communication.

• AMP fixed Downlead, with fixed cable, with and without NFMI. The fixed Downlead variant comes equipped with the U174 connector from the factory. For those who want an Ampheno connector, they must contact IEA MIL-OPTICS, but only for larger orders.

The standard connector for the fixed Downlead is the U174 connector. Two wiring options are available: U174 Nato and U174EU or U174Peltor

It is evident on the device itself through the attached article number and the last three numbers. Nato uses a 200 series block and the EU wiring uses a 300 series block. For example, Nato = N101153-02-0203 and EU/Peltor = N101153-02-0303

But what is the correct connection option for the cables?

With the AMP fixed Downlead with U174 connector, it is easy to connect any standard PTT connector with a U94 socket. Of course, the fixed Downlead is also available for other systems like Amphenol.

With the Connectorized variant, you have flexibility to switch to different systems at any time using the right cable, such as Invisio.

The AMP Headset is available at IEA MIL-Optics starting from 1,030 euros in the fixed Downlead version without NFMI.
