The suppressor must be black and have the correct markings. Yes, that's right, when you buy it new - like the ones in the big KAC Supressor Review. But everything that is used gets a "used look", including suppressors. In order to make it look old, we do it (almost) like the real ones: SPARTANAT fires it up!
Let's start with the color: Krylon Sand Dune or a similar product gives the suppressor - this one is the AABB from Ebaybanned - a whole new look. No more markings, but a bit of color never hurt anyone.
Attention, only Lt. Dan is allowed to do this, because he knows that he will burn his fingers if he does not switch to a different holding material. A prerequisite for roasting the suppressor is, by the way, that its interior plastic is removed, otherwise it will start to stink. So: Unscrew the suppressor before painting it and remove the foam from the inside.
Here you can see motion blur. The suppressor is now correctly placed on an iron rod, so you can no longer burn your fingers. The aging process now takes place over the flame - in reverse to the real ones, where it gets hot from the inside out. Keep the device moving constantly, otherwise it will burn in spots ... But we want to roast it evenly.
Here is the effect we wanted to achieve: the suppressor turns reddish with a rough surface at the spots exposed to the fire. The latter subtly. If you go too hard, you will get color splatters ... So patiently swing it over the flame.
What the fire can't do, the spray can, symbolically held close here. The still very hot suppressor is dusted with black, spraying distance between one meter and 30 cm. The latter only very carefully and for the front, otherwise the suppressor will be black again - but without markings. Then let it cool down, refill the foam. The result can be seen in the first image on a MK18 Mod1 PTW.
