Abstract: A photo of a NAVY EOD soldier from Syria shows innovative use of 3M respirator mask on Yotee backpack for COVID-19 protection, and excessive use of rubber bands as improvised fasteners. The soldier uses rubber bands to attach items to cummerbund, highlighting resourcefulness in equipment management.
We found this beautiful photo of a NAVY EOD soldier from Syria on the web and two things caught our attention:
First, he has a 3M respirator mask on his Yotee backpack, maybe as a mouth and nose protection because of Corona, and second, the excessive use of rubber bands as improvised fasteners.
The bottle and the unidentified item next to it are simply attached to the cummerbund with rigger bands. To the left of the bottle, you can see prepared rubber bands, probably for another bottle. By the way, you can easily make your own rubber bands from an old bike inner tube. So, whatever works is allowed.
