HOT SUMMER SPECIAL: We own the night

When night falls, it's time to go out. "Party with lights out," that's one of the most demanding areas of Gearology. Those who want to turn night into day by putting a few tubes in front of their eyes will be amazed. With modern night vision devices, you can turn night into day.

Our fresh field test once again confirmed this. No, this is not a black area edited with Photoshop. This is an authentic photo of the night in the place of the nocturnal excursion.

That's why we freshly charged the battery pack. Yes, we use IKEA batteries for this purpose.

Candidate number 1: currently very popular among people who want to tinker or drive in the "affordable" segment, the BNVD-31. Looks somewhat like American Special Forces gear. That's what it's supposed to be: the housing comes from Asia, but the device is built with parts for a PVS-14, so it is also larger and heavier than its original model. The measure of all things: an AN/PVS-31, as used by the U.S. Special Forces of USSOCOM, manufactured by L3 Warrior Systems/Insight. We will see how it compares. We were extremely curious about this device - and will take it out for an exclusive field test into the night.
