Highly secure radio equipment for NATO/EU

Working together for greater security and sovereignty: Elbit Systems Germany and genua GmbH, a German IT security specialist and part of the Bundesdruckerei Group, have agreed on a strategic, long-term partnership for the development of highly secure communication products.

As their first concrete project, the two partners are developing robust, interference-resistant radio devices equipped with hardware-accelerated, quantum-resistant encryption. The radio devices are intended to provide civilian and military personnel in armed forces, security services, and rescue organizations with modern, highly secure communication technology that will enable them to reliably perform increasingly demanding tasks. The jointly developed products are aimed at customers in selected NATO member states and EU member states.

“Due to the current security situation in Europe, the market demands speed, reliability, efficiency, and a high level of product maturity. This is exactly where the partnership comes in,” says Marian Rachow, CEO of Elbit Systems Germany. “Two strong partners are combining their expertise to make a very powerful radio even more secure through the use of state-of-the-art encryption technologies. We are investing specifically in the collaboration with genua to optimize our joint capabilities.” As part of the cooperation, joint development and project teams will therefore be set up at the locations in Kirchheim near Munich and Ulm.
