Here comes Mayflower

Mayflower has landed in Germany. No, not the ship with its Pilgrim fathers, but the Gear Forge. In the USA, Mayflower RC is a force to be reckoned with: classic designs, lightweight and very efficient gear, popular with fighters and gamers alike. Just recently, we were able to present the Mayflower APC on SPARTANAT (HERE is the review). But what is being seen on SPARTANAT today is a world premiere: the prototype of a 6 UW Chest Rig in modern grey. We were able to admire this at a gathering at VTAC Germany on the sidelines of IWA 2014 in Nuremberg.

The rig immediately stands out with its very wide shoulder straps made of laser-cut laminate. The H-straps ensure comfort even with heavy loads.

The 6 UW Chest Rig itself is made of very lightweight material and follows the classic Mayflower concept. This is a Fixed-Front version. Split Front will probably also be available. The rig is currently still being tested at Lupus ...

... and will soon be available in Germany: VTAC Germany will be the dealer and representative for Mayflower RC in Germany. The exciting thing about this rig is that it is designed for the G36, as seen with the magazine in the pocket. Laminates are also used here: to save weight on the rig and to facilitate the smooth sliding of G36 magazines with their couplers. If someone wants something else in their pockets: inserts are also available for M4/HK416 and HK417 magazines. The rig itself is compatible with other gear (Plate Carrier) from Velocity/Mayflower via the Swift Clip System.
