The text emphasizes the importance of acquiring knowledge and training before they are needed, particularly in times of crisis. It warns against waiting until the last minute to prepare for defense, as it may be too late.
As the saying goes: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction." (Ronald Reagan)
The world is watching a nation in its most desperate hour. Every man, woman, and child is fighting for their lives. Freedoms that should have been exercised long ago are now being used as a last resort, as the current government distributes weapons to the civilian population. With at most a week of training optimistically viewed, the situation is catastrophic, as they face the largest invasion in Europe since World War II.
The lesson, however, is that one should acquire knowledge and training before they are needed, not when they are necessary. The fact is, it would not be enough if all serious instructors had to train every single civilian in a week for the defense of our country. When you try to prepare weapons, training, ammunition, and logistics when the enemy is at our door, it is always too late.
Practice now, train often, educate your friends and their families.
