Good intention: Andres TigIR for NATO

Currently, various NATO partners are introducing the innovative TigIR thermal attachment device from Andres Industries into their armed forces. What distinguishes the TigIR (pronounced Tiger) is its very short design, with a range of 3km. It is the only attachment device that fits on the inherently short optics mounts of machine guns. Despite its long range, it is remarkably lightweight at only about 500g. However, the TigIR is not only used as an attachment device for machine guns. Such an NSN, known to Bundeswehr personnel as the "supply number," is used in trade between NATO member states to correctly identify ordered equipment - even across language barriers.
