Good intention: Andres TigIR for NATO

NATO partners are adopting the TigIR thermal attachment device from Andres Industries due to its short design and long range capabilities. The TILO-6MA is also gaining popularity for its compact size and high resolution.

Currently, various NATO partners are introducing the innovative TigIR thermal attachment device from Andres Industries into their armed forces. What distinguishes the TigIR (pronounced Tiger) is its very short design, with a range of 3km. It is the only attachment device that fits on the inherently short optics mounts of machine guns. Despite its long range, it is remarkably lightweight at only about 500g. However, the TigIR is not only used as an attachment device for machine guns. Through sophisticated post-processing of the sensor image and the SPC (Subpixel Collimation) developed by Andres Industries, a much higher precision than conventional attachment devices can be achieved.

Practically at the same time, the TILO-6MA is being introduced into some NATO armies. With a length of only 6cm, it is still the smallest thermal imaging goggle in the world with a sensor resolution of 640 pixels. It is waterproof and is therefore preferred by marine units. It can also be used as an attachment device, for example in front of scopes like the ELCAN-Specter. With a weight of only 152g, it is currently the lightest military attachment device in the world.

With the introduction of the devices to NATO partners, both products have now also received their official NATO Stock Number, abbreviated as NSN. Such an NSN, known to Bundeswehr personnel as the "supply number," is used in trade between NATO member states to correctly identify ordered equipment - even across language barriers. Specifically, the numbers are 5855-12-416-6304 for the TigIR-6M and 5855-12-416-6303 for the TILO-6MA. Both devices also have civilian variants that are popular among long-range shooters. HERE you can get the TigIR directly from Andres Industries.
