Green light for German Chinooks
The US Department of War has contracted with BOEING for the production of up to 60 CH-47F Chinook Block II heavy-lift helicopters for Germany. The agreement includes the manufacturing of the helicopters as per Germany's specifications, along with necessary training and logistical support.
The US Department of War has announced that it has signed a contract worth US$876.5 million with BOEING to begin production of CH-47F Chinook Block II heavy-lift helicopters for Germany. The contract provides for the manufacture of up to 60 helicopters in a configuration selected by the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as associated training and logistical support.
