Go West! New weapons for the National Guard of Ukraine

The National Guard of Ukraine (NGU) - it is a military unit of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs - is replacing thousands of Soviet-style assault rifles and pistols in its inventory. The rearmament is being done with weapons following the western AR15 concept.

The UAR-15 is the new assault rifle in 5.56 x 45 mm caliber, it is manufactured in Ukraine from domestic and US components. The barrel and trigger mechanism, upon which the weapon's precision directly depends, are manufactured by the American company DANIEL DEFENSE.

The "Complex Sniper" is also being replaced: the new UAR-10 is a semi-automatic sniper rifle for 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition, manufactured by the Ukrainian company UKROP.
