Today they were presented, the two new Glock Slimline models G43X and G48 now with MOS. MOS is the possibility to directly mount a Reddot on the slide of your pistol. So far, this option was only available for the Full Size slides from the factory, but now it is also possible for the Slimline models.
Here are the variants with and without MOS all together. Without the optic, there are actually no significant visual differences, except for the two screws of the MOS cover.
Both pistols have a milling on the slide to accommodate an RMSc - Reflex Mini Sight Compact. This eliminates the need for an adapter plate, which was previously common with Glock MOS pistols.
This positions the optic lower and you no longer need Silencer Sights if you still want to use the iron sights as a back-up. They really thought about this.
Here are the technical data for you. The remaining features are identical to those of the non-MOS versions.
These pistols will be available in two variants for purchase. One is just the pistol without optics, and the other as a bundle with Shield RMSc. We were told that those who get the pistol as a bundle will be better off than if they were purchased separately. The RMSc and sights are zeroed at 25m from the factory, now that's what we call service.
The Glock G43X MOS and Glock G48 MOS will be available from the beginning of October at your trusted firearms dealer. No price has been mentioned yet, but we estimate it to be around €800 without the RMSc.
