Glock Airsoft Perfection? The 6mm Glock is here

08/25/2017By Redaktion

Glock - the name stands for an empire. It is an icon, representing a weapon. It is the name for the pistol par excellence. That's why there is no Glock rifle (although...), it would simply confuse things in marketing. And at the same time, the Generation 5 of the pistol is set to be introduced in the USA - HERE is the SPARTANAT article about it.

However, the bigger sensation: now there is the first legal Airsoft replica of a Glock. The special thing about it: Glock has so far strictly opposed the appearance of a licensed Airsoft product that replicates their weapons and bears all logos. They have also repeatedly confiscated toys that looked deceptively similar to real Glocks. So, it is a remarkable turnaround. You can see what the replica looks like above - it's a Glock 17 Gen 3 model. Naturally, it has the same dimensions as the originals. In addition, the CNC-milled slide is repeatedly inscribed with the statement that this Glock is licensed by Glock. It is operated with a CO2-filled gas magazine.

Cybergun advertises that this Airsoft gun has been almost completely redesigned, at least in terms of its internal workings. That's why they also give it the addition "Inokatsu", even though this company does not seem to have been involved in the manufacturing. However, Inokatsu has a reputation for highest quality in the Airsoft and collector scene: HERE is the 1911 on Redwolf, HERE is the P226 as an Airsoft replica, at high prices, well made, and with a license. Currently, this Airsoft Glock is only available for the French market. They are limited to 100 pieces, each carrying a consecutive serial number and sold in a box with a T-shirt, cap, and patch. The "Limited Edition" costs 350 euros. Later, the same Glock will be available without a serial number and textile accessories in a plastic case for 250 euros. The Limited Edition is available for preorder now, and the regular Airsoft Glock will be available from August 28th.

We are curious to see how reliable and high quality this replica is, to truly deserve the Glock name. Cybergun had previously made a name for themselves with "Training Glocks" in 6mm caliber some time ago - we also had them in hand at the Milipol trade fair in Paris -, which should have been nothing more than "legalized" Stark Arms toy guns. Without having seen it: we suspect that this "Pseudo-Inokatsu" is also a Stark Arms Glock.
