The British company Steel Core Designs Ltd. is unveiling its Cyclone MCR (Multi-Calibre Rifle) precision multi-caliber rifle in Germany for the first time. The official German premiere will take place during the TeutoDefence Law Enforcement Days on June 2 and 3, 2026. At the same time, it was announced that TeutoDefence Germany will serve as the exclusive general agent for the German market.
The Cyclone MCR was developed specifically for military and law enforcement users and combines high precision, modular multi-caliber capability, and robust construction in a modern long-range weapon system. The rifle system can be configured in calibers including 7.62 mm, 6.5 Creedmoor, 8.6 mm, and .300 Norma Magnum, and, according to the manufacturer, achieves accuracy of less than ½ MOA.

Visitors to the TeutoDefence Law Enforcement Days/Live Fire Days will have their first opportunity in Germany to get a close-up look at the system and learn about its technical features and applications. The Cyclone MCR features, among other things:
The system was designed for professional use under extreme conditions and successfully passed extensive stress and environmental tests, including drop, mud, water, and sustained-fire tests.

Particular attention was paid to precision and user safety. According to the manufacturer, the system achieves a shooting accuracy of less than ½ MOA and is designed for engagement ranges exceeding 1,000 meters. The rifle features a bolt made of high-strength nickel-chromium steel with four locking lugs, as well as a precise two-stage trigger.

The new Steel Core will be shipped with Recknagel’s T7 mount, which was first unveiled at Enforce Tac 2026. Available with either 0 or 20 MOA of forward tilt, this mount stands out for its innovative design, lightweight construction (up to 40% lighter than comparable mounts), and numerous additional mounting points. ERATAC’s new T7 mount also features an innovative inlay that makes mounting the scope significantly easier, without the need for adhesives or other intermediaries. Of course, the portfolio will also include the usual accessories such as angle compensators, spirit levels, and corresponding attachments for red dot sights and laser rangefinders.

The 6–36x56 PM II High Performance is an evolution of the 5–25x56 PM II. With its enhanced performance, it covers a range from medium to extremely long distances. Since its market launch, it has impressed military users and has been in service on a .50-caliber anti-materiel rifle since 2023. It has also been adopted by police special forces and several NATO countries. Its wide field of view surpasses that of many 5–25x riflescopes, even at 6x magnification. The high resolution enables target detection beyond 4,000 m. The compact, lightweight design makes it the lightest riflescope in its class. With over 40 mrad of internal adjustment range, it offers reserves for extreme distances. The LPI adjustment facilitates mounting and operation for left-handed shooters.

The system was also tested under extreme conditions. According to the manufacturer, the Cyclone MCR passed drop tests from a height of 1.5 meters, mud and water immersion tests, as well as sustained-fire tests of over 200 rounds without malfunctions. The operating temperature range is from –40 °C to +65 °C.
An optional silencer system from the Finnish manufacturer ASE Utra is available, which significantly reduces the noise signature as well as recoil and muzzle flash.
With the Cyclone MCR, Steel Core Designs is positioning itself in the segment of high-precision long-range systems for professional users and underscores its commitment to innovation, ruggedness, and operational reliability.

Through the exclusive partnership between Steel Core Designs Ltd. and TeutoDefence Germany, the Cyclone MCR will be specifically introduced to and supported by government agencies, special forces, and professional users in Germany.
