The Finnish Armed Forces are procuring a new rifle, the Model 23 from the Finnish manufacturer SAKO. The weapon will be used as a DMR, similar to the G28 from HK. The first weapons are expected to be delivered by the end of 2022 - the contract volume is 10 million euros. In parallel, there is a program underway to find a new assault rifle for the Finnish Armed Forces, in which Sweden is also interested.
