FORGE WORKS: The Hawk strikes fiercely

01/07/2023By Redaktion

Nothing is as convincing as a weighty argument. The fresh Hawk from FORGE WORKS is one such tool. It was designed as a breaching tool and carries most of its weight in the head, increasing the striking power when swung. The end of the handle is curved for a secure grip, and it has a unique palmswell milled into the handle.

"Lennart from Kydexholster NL and I started this project over a year ago," says Christoph from FORGE WORKS. "He has a lot to do with special forces and we wanted to offer them a breaching tool/Tomahawk. Most of them are only available in the USA, so we wanted to give our units the opportunity to have access to such a tool." FORGE WORKS has succeeded magnificently in this.

Together with Kydexholster NL, they developed the design, grip scales, and Kydex sheath. The sheath comes with an extra bungee cord for additional security when carrying the axe in the sheath.

Due to the nature of the attachment and retention points in the Kydex sheath, it may scratch the finish. This makes sense to ensure the axe stays securely in the Kydex sheath. FORGE WORKS would always recommend applying a light coating of Gun Oil - such as Ballistol - to the steel parts. "We had three different prototypes," says Christoph, "and made several changes until the final product was achieved. And it must also be said, a Tomahawk is also pretty cool..." Especially the one from FORGE WORKS.

The Hawk is a Mid-Tech production, the treatment, finish, and sharpening is done in-house at FORGE WORKS. HERE in the FORGE WORK Shop, the Hawk is now available in several variations.
