The K9 Medic Symposium 2026 is entering its third year. On August 25 and 26, 2026, the K9 community will once again gather in Bad Ems (Rhineland-Pfalz, Germany) for two days of in-depth discussion on medical care for service, rescue, hunting, and working dogs.

What began three years ago as an idea has since developed into one of the most popular events in the field of tactical K9 medicine in the German-speaking world. Last year, the symposium was also fully booked. (airborne-medical-group.com)

Participants

Around 50 participants, along with 15 instructors, speakers, and supporters, will come together to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Participants come from a wide variety of fields, including law enforcement, the military, emergency medical services, veterinary medicine, dog training, hunting, as well as other public safety organizations and dedicated dog owners. It is precisely this interdisciplinary exchange that makes the K9 Medic Symposium a unique platform for collaboration and professional development every year.

Program

Visitors can expect a varied program featuring hands-on workshops, expert presentations, instructional demonstrations, and an accompanying trade exhibition.

The focus is always on a common goal: to continuously improve medical care for dogs in the field and to share knowledge in a practical way—in keeping with our guiding principle, “For Our K9.”

Purpose and Commitment

A special highlight in 2026 will once again be the grand raffle. Thanks to numerous sponsors and supporters, prizes with a total value of over 8,000 euros have been assembled.

The proceeds from the event—after deducting the necessary event costs—will be donated in full to a good cause. A portion supports the work of the European Committee on Canine Tactical Medicine (ECCTM) to further develop tactical K9 medicine in Europe. The majority will be donated to nonprofit organizations and projects that actively advocate for dogs.

Guiding Principle

The K9 Medic Symposium is not driven by commercial interests, but rather by a sense of community, professional exchange, and a shared responsibility toward our four-legged partners.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, instructors, sponsors, and supporters who make this symposium possible year after year and who, together, help make a real difference—“For Our K9.”
