FN Herstal has announced that the new Multi Weapon Mount is fully certified to MIL-STD and ready for deployment. The FN® MWM will be seen for the first time at DSEI 2023 in London in two weeks.
Mission success and survivability often depend on the ability to adapt quickly to the battlefield.
The FN® MWM is a new weapons mount for ground and marine platforms. The weapon interface can be converted to different weapon calibers in a matter of minutes:
- 12.7x99mm NATO (.50 Cal) heavy machine guns (FN® M2HB-QCB)
- 7.62x51mm NATO medium machine guns (FN MAG® 58M/Infantry, FN® M240 D, H, and L)
- 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher (MK19 AGL)
The FN® MWM, developed, tested, and qualified in a joint project by FN Herstal and FNH UK, features a hydraulic buffer system that ensures optimal weapon performance in all conditions and firing angles while minimizing the impact of recoil on the platform and the user. The weapon mount is fully mechanical, meaning it does not rely on the electrical power of the host. It offers a range of options including weapon-specific adapters (for FN MAG®, FN® M240, and MK19), ballistic protection, links and case collector, and a shoulder rest.
The FN® MWM is suitable for use on wheeled and tracked vehicles, with the marine variant - FN® Sea MWM - tested and qualified for use in extreme maritime environments.
Seamless integration (standard or custom platform interfaces) and reliable operation with FN Herstal's renowned machine gun range, deployed worldwide, is guaranteed with FN mounts like the FN® MWM.
The weapon stations from FN HERSTAL are available in Germany through TEUTODEFENCE.
