Flannel overshirt by LMSGEAR

Last Man Standing Gear (LMSGear) has previously impressed us with its flannel shirts, and since autumn 2025, a new model is available that we don’t want to withhold from you. The sewing needle has been dug up, and the flannel shirt has been completely reworked. Those familiar with the earlier versions of flannel shirts from LMSGEAR will be surprised, as much has changed. After a long period of wear, we present to you the Flannel Overshirt "The Native" in Green Stripes.

The Overshirt is made of 100% heavy 330 g/m² flannel cotton, woven in Portugal. This is not a classic plaid flannel shirt like the ones you used to get from LMSGEAR. This time, the shirt features stripes in the style of American Native patterns, particularly Navajo, and resembles a lightweight jacket more than a simple shirt.

In cold weather, it can be the perfect base layer under a jacket, while you can use it as a light transitional jacket in warmer temperatures. The shirt fits true to size.

The thoughtfully arranged pockets provide space for everything. The left and right chest pockets are identical in size at 200 x 145 mm. Compared to the predecessor model, they have been enlarged once more to easily accommodate larger items. 

Both pockets feature a generously sized flap and large, easy-to-use, sewn buttons with a diameter of 20 mm. Instead of slotted Canadian buttons, four-hole buttons are used on the cuff and button placket. Large mobile phones, larger notepads, or A6-sized paperback books fit perfectly inside.

Inside the chest pockets, specially manufactured webbing "Made in Germany" has been used. With a width of 6 mm and divided into three sections, it is suitable for the safe and organized storage of pens. 

Previously, the Navajos used smoke signals, but today they rely on modern communication tools. Even in times when more Bluetooth-enabled headphones are worn, the two chest pockets on the body-facing side are practical, as each features a cable pass-through to allow charging or headphone cables to run through. 

In addition, the left chest pocket has an opening in the flap to thread pens or glasses.

The newly added side hand-warmer pockets with openings at the side seam of the shirt are new to the Overshirt – hence the name designation. This design ensures the side pockets do not add bulk.

Reinforced elbows protect against holes and wear caused by friction. They give the shirt a distinctive look and accentuate the cuffs. 

CONCLUSION

The Overshirt from LMSGEAR is a real eye-catcher. The larger chest pockets and the side pockets are particularly positively noted. High-quality materials are used that can be easily replaced and repaired in the field – whether on the warpath or in the tipi. The quality and craftsmanship remain excellent. The shirt can also be worn alone during transitional seasons or on cool days and evenings. The Overshirt is a blend of a classic men’s shirt and a light jacket.
