Around 1,000 soldiers of the US Army will receive a special wrist sensor from WHOOP. This sensor is designed to measure daily strain and stress in order to analyze it in a study. The tracker should also be worn at night for sleep analysis. Previous studies have mostly been conducted under laboratory conditions. Now, they are taking it a step further to understand how minimal sunlight, strong winds, and extreme cold affect the soldiers' physical and mental health. The soldiers themselves can also view their data through an app.
