FAMAS FELIN in Mali

The French troops in Mali are equipped with the FAMAS FELIN assault rifle, featuring a unique design with integrated foregrip and mounting rail for accessories. Comparable to the German IDZ program, FELIN enhances soldiers' capabilities in modern warfare.

The French seem to have small quantities of the current FAMAS FELIN (Fantassin à équipement et liaisons integrées) assault rifle with them during their intervention in Mali (second soldier from the right). The weapon features an integrated foregrip in an interesting design and a mounting rail for accessories instead of a carrying handle. The French FELIN program is comparable to the German IDZ (Infanterist der Zukunft).
