EUROSATORY 24: AARTOS against drones

The Eurosatory, one of the world's most important trade fairs for defense and security, was held this year under the motto "Protect your Future". International military and security experts gathered in Paris to learn about and exchange information on the latest developments. One focus theme: the increasing importance of the use of various drones and, consequently, their detection and defense. The interest of the professional audience was particularly focused on AARTOS DDS, the currently most powerful system on the market that can be modularly adapted to a wide range of needs.

AARONIA AG offers four different variants of AARTOS DDS, providing flexible solutions for all requirements and budgets. From the laptop versions X2 and X5 for limited mobile and stationary applications to the high-end solutions X7 and X9 for highly demanding military use. At this year's Eurosatory, several hundred military and security experts visited AARONIA's stand to see these solutions in action. The mobile X2 and the high-end solution X9 were particularly popular in terms of detection.

AARTOS DDS offers unique features in all versions compared to competitors' systems. The system not only determines the position and speed of drones, but also their altitude. It ensures high-speed drone detection by scanning the entire frequency spectrum, including simultaneous scans of different frequencies, allowing it to detect all drones operating with radio signals. AARTOS provides real-time positioning of both the drone and its operator. The AARONIA-owned software solution RTSA-Suite PRO plays a central role in this process, enabling the integration of various hardware components for analysis and ensuring simple, efficient, and optimal use of each system.

In terms of drone defense, the programmable AARTOS 360° Smart Jammer was the center of attention. It stands out for its extremely long range of up to 10 kilometers. Additionally, it allows for full, individual adjustment or programmability of any frequency ranges within 400MHz to 6GHz in real-time using drag-and-drop. The Smart Jammer covers all drones in the frequency range and can disrupt them automatically or manually controlled by the operator.

In addition to drone detection and defense, the AARTOS system can also be used as part of electronic warfare. The unique real-time ALL-frequency monitoring allows for the detection of everything from BOS radios to radar pulses to remotely controlled systems (air and ground). The programmable AARTOS 360° Smart Jammer can then be used to disrupt these systems.

For these special additional use scenarios, AARONIA offers the SPECTRAN V6 MIL, a real-time spectrum analyzer integrated in a powerful and extremely rugged outdoor laptop. It can capture and display signal transmissions in various ways, enabling their analysis to take necessary countermeasures if needed.
