EUROSATORY 22: MEPROLIGHT Advanced NYX 200 new

MEPROLIGHT is introducing an enhanced version of the multispectral thermal imaging device NYX 200 at Eurosatory 2022 - the Mepro NYX-200 (T/D-X2.7) - further improving the NYX product family's offerings.

The new system features a high-quality 12µ thermal core combined with improved thermal and day channel optics, increasing the effective range of the sight by more than 30% without affecting its weight or energy consumption. This model is now capable of efficiently supporting day and night operations at distances characteristic of sniper missions, under harsh environmental conditions, and in any tactical scenario.

The versatility of the Mepro NYX-200 (T/D-X2.7) significantly enhances tactical flexibility. Its high-quality thermal core combined with a high-resolution day or low-light digital camera enables target acquisition in complete darkness as well as effective use in daylight. At night, targets captured with the NYX-200 thermal imaging channel can easily be assigned to friendly forces equipped with image-intensifying night vision devices using the built-in IR pointer.

The Red Dot with Thermal Optics

MEPROLIGHT also showcased its MIL-STD Mepro TIGON optics at Eurosatory. It combines the benefits of uncooled thermal imaging technology with those of a day optic ("Red-Dot" sight) in one product, enabling complete operational flexibility day and night. During the day, the large, transparent display window with a clearly visible reticle on the Mepro TIGON allows for quick target acquisition with both eyes open. At night, the thermal image projected onto the same display helps detect and aim at targets in complete darkness and under challenging environmental conditions, including smoke and dust. (Note: Thermal imaging is also a great help in detecting targets during the day).

To increase the effective daytime range of the Mepro TIGON, a magnifier can be attached behind the optic, while the digital x2 zoom of the thermal imaging channel can be used at night. MEPROLIGHT is available for dealers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland through JTI TRADING.
